Page 1 of 1 The Peralta S, the first one-off made by GFG Style, was unveiled at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational, Mexico's prestigious and exclusive automotive event, on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Inspired by a famous concept car by Giorgetto Giugiaro from the 1970s, the Peralta S was designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro and developed by GFG Style's advanced styling center, commissioned by Mexican car collector Carlos Peralta and his sons Juan Carlos and Nicolas.
The Peralta S, a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car, is a futuristic car made entirely by hand from fully exposed, mirror-polished aluminum, with the special feature that there is no visual difference between the glazed surfaces and the body, creating a monolithic effect.
It is distinguished by numerous original styling elements, the result of Giugiaro's experience and continuous drive for innovation: above all, the spectacular opening of the “dome” in a single movement.
The Peralta S is a dream car with strong references to the past, in particular to the Maserati Boomerang prototype designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1971. A car of absolute rupture for the time, with an angular but harmonious style, taut lines and a wedge-shaped silhouette that made history, it has become a true icon over the years: in fact, there are many cars that have been inspired by it.
In the words of Fabrizio Giugiaro: “The Peralta S has a typically 1970s attitude and has nothing to do with today's cars. I wanted to embellish it with quotations, styling cues and references to shapes from a past that made history, but it is also a tribute to my father, through the reinterpretation in a modern key of the volumes of the Boomerang.”
“There are dozens of sports cars” - continues Fabrizio - “that have become iconic that took their cues from those shapes, it was pure avant-garde. For me it is one of Giorgetto's most incredible and successful stylistic exercises.”
The side view is characterized by a silhouette with one seamless line: nose, roof, tail with only two edges. Even from above, the surfaces are flat and continuous. A single shape that presents itself as if it were a large monolith. All emphasized by the choice to leave the polished aluminum exposed. In plan the Peralta S is teardrop-shaped with closure in the rear, while the front end is simple: all the lights are enclosed and hidden in both the nose and rear.
The only nonaluminum parts are the front spoiler, rear diffuser and side sills, all of which are made of exposed carbon fiber. The rear is characterized by the integrated spoiler that lifts up and the taillights that are hidden underneath: when lit they create an interesting “shadow light” effect.
Note the absence of traditional doors: the opening, which provides access to the passenger compartment, is through the lifting of a single “dome”. There is, however, provision for independent opening of the side windows by means of a gull-wing movement.
This dream car has a double soul: when closed - and therefore switched off - it looks like a single monolith, while when switched on it changes its physiognomy, thanks to the spoiler that rises and the upper and lower labs that open to promote greater ventilation.
In terms of construction, the body of the Peralta S is made in three distinct pieces: hood, central mirrored glass part and rear. Chassis and mechanics, on the other hand, are derived from the Maserati MC 20, whose technical characteristics have remained unchanged and unaltered, with the technical collaboration of MAT - Manifattura Automobili Torino.
