One of just two American market F50s finished in yellow, this example was commissioned by Ralph Lauren. The fashion tycoon and noted collector had the car finished in Giallo Modena with a Nero or black interior. Lauren took delivery of the car in 1995 and used it regularly until it was offered for sale with Paul Russell & Company in 2003 with 3,300 miles on the odometer. Most likely sold to a dealer, it was then acquired by its long term owners later in the year through Ferrari of Washington. The rare F50 was only very rarely seen since and less than 2,000 miles were added to the tally in the next two decades and it was Ferrari Classiche certified in 2014. Chassis 104798 was then consigned as an early headliner of the 2025 RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale.
