Chassis:
Built to Stradale specification, this Iso Grifo A3/C is the last of the riveted alloy bodied examples fitted with a flat rear window. It is believed to be the A3/C shown at the 1964 Paris Auto Show. Painted in a striking champagne colour, it was then delivered in early 1965 to French engineer of Tefal non-stick pan fame Marc Grégoire. The following year, B 0212 was sold through a Paris dealership to Strasbourg-based sculptor Freddy J. Zimmer. He cherished the ‘love of my life’ for 14 years. It was then briefly owned by Jean-Jacques Fritsch, before it joined the longterm ownership of French enthusiast Marcel Petitjean. He would go on to own the car for nearly four decades, during which time it had changed colour to red. After it finally changed hands again, it was entrusted to an Italian specialist for a complete restoration to its original champagne colour. Fittingly, it was first shown in its restored guise at the 2025 Retromobile show in Paris, where it was offered by British dealer Fiskens.
