Chassis:
Through Otto Zipper Motors in Santa Monica, this 250 GT our de France was sold new to Reno, Nevada casino magnate and collector Bill Harrah. It was finished in dark red with a tan interior. Never raced in period, it was retained by Harrah until his passing in 1978. Consigned by his estate, it was sold at auction in 1986. It was then briefly owned by John Mozart and changed hands twice before it joined the collection of German enthusiast Harald Mergard. He regularly used the car in historic events like the Tour de France and Mille Miglia retrospectives. In the mid-1990s, it was restored by DK Engineering. Late in 2007, it was sold and since then has changed hands only once more. Now fully Ferrari Classiche certified, one of the best preserved 250 GT TdFs was consigned as one of the headliners to the 2025 Gooding & Co. Pebble Beach Auctions.
