Completed late in 1952, this C-Type was finished in silver and sold through distributor Charles Hornburg in Los Angeles. Its original owners only used the car on the streets and it did not see track action until the early 1980s when it was first raced in historic events. Among the subsequent owners that campaigned the car were Joe Egle, Bob Baker and Philippe Reyens. Although they all regularly used the car, it was never damaged and by the late 2010s was repatriated to the United Kingdom with all the major components still together. It was subsequently sympathetically restored by marque expert CKL developments. The matching numbers C-Type was subsequently consigned to the 2025 Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions.
