Chassis:
The third 250 GT California Spider built, this example was appropriately sold through John van Neumann’s Ferrari Representatives of California in Hollywood. The covered headlight example remained in California for the first forty years of its life during which it was in long term ownership with collector Marshall Mathews from 1968 onwards. In 1999, it was acquired by British collector Andrew Pisker, who had it repainted burgundy and re-upholstered with a tan interior. It was also Ferrari Classiche certified before it was acquired by another UK-based collector in 2008. It was since shown at select events and was then consigned to the inaugural 2026 Gooding Christie’s Retromobile sale.
