By the time the Pregunta debuted at the 1998 Paris Auto Salon, Audi had just taken control of Lamborghini, which heralded a new design direction for the company. It was shown once more, at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show before it was retired to the Heuliez collection. It was brought out for the 2007 Retromobile show and then found its first private owner the following year. The fully functional show car subsequently participated in a variety of driving events like the 2008 SpaItalia Rally and was used for exhibition laps at the Spa Francorchamps circuit. In 2014, it was entrusted to Lamborghini Polo Storico for initial certification. Seven years later, it was more extensively serviced by Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese and fully certified. Once the work was completed, the Pregunta was displayed in the Lamborghini Museum for several years before it was consigned to the 2025 Broad Arrow Auctions Zoute sale by its only private owner to date.
